WiseIconMaker is a good, useful and simple icon editor and creator. The application displays a main window where users can show or hide the guiding grid and edit, create or modify any icon picture 16, 32, 48, 72 or 128 pixels in size. Also, the program allows users to extract icons from executable programs or dynamic libraries, DLL, EXE, OCX, CPL or SCR files, so the application is a very powerful tool for working with icons, very easy to use and small as well.
Its graphic interface is very attractive and easy to use. Users can apply effects such as soften or sharpen the picture, apply crystal effect, adjust colors, brightness and contrast, etc. The picture itself can be moved to the right , left, up or down (pixel by pixel), rotated 90 degrees CW or CCW, as well as any arbitrary angle (both ways), mirrored, flipped, etc. The program also supports all icon Alpha Channel formats, as well as all the regular sizes from 16 to 128 pixels and any custom icon.
Any JPG, PNG, BMP, PCX, PNG, etc. image can be imported to the icon working area. Also, the created or modified icon can be exported to any of these file formats. The program includes a 'camera' facility for capturing images directly from desktop, web pages or other running software. Text can be easily added to the edited icon. User interface includes tabs for allowing user to edit many icons at the same time, on the same interface. |
